Making changes today for a better tomorrow. We are a nonprofit organization with the mission to provide transparent information accessible to everyone and promote meaningful education and research to better the lives of all living creatures. The Student Mentor Academic Research Training (SMART) Award is an integral operation of TranScience. Through the support of communities, generous donors and corporate partnership, the SMART Award provides funding and resources to academic research laboratories for application of new technologies and for research training to all students ranging from high school to postgraduate. It is rare that science is perfect the first time, but we try our best to get as close to reality as possible; only time will tell. Advancement in science and discovery is not just leaps but single steps built from cumulative studies of negative and positive results. To this end, scientists should not have to pay to publish their hard work and discoveries. Based on these principles, it has established two open access scientific journals, Progressive Science and Translational Science, to publish all knowledge based on integrity of data and not the perception of significance. Knowledge should be transparent and accessible so the general public can be better informed and contribute. A core principle of TranScience is that nonprofit organizations should not use donations to finance their overheads. Therefore, 100% of all donations will go into funding the SMART Award. It is the responsibility and obligation of TranScience to finance its overhead and all administrative duties through other means. Tranparency is the pillar of TranScience; it will publish its finance to the general public.
